The fettuchini gang decided to travel to Las Vegas. I had never before been to Vegas and was eager to do so. Seven of us packed up in the evening and drove towards Vegas. We started rather late in the night after dinner and I was quite sleepy and slept of in the car. So most of the events leading up to our reaching vegas are a blur. The only thing I remember is that it was snowing along the way and traffic got backed up in the middle. The next thing I remember is someone waking me up saying, "Hey we are here, photo time" and me groggily getting out of the car into a parking lot. Well I took the photo and so you can tell my state.
We started with Luxor - clearly a disctict landmark with the light coming out of the pyramid. I was really dumbfounded, the grandeur of the place was built like nothing I had ever imagined. Thousands of people trying like luck. We had to take a photo with the topless lady. All of us tried our respective lucks and quickly gave up.
Next we visited Venetian. The moment we entered and I saw the grand canal I was absolutely floored. I couldn't have imagined someone could construct venice indoors! After the Venetian it was quite late and we were all very tired. We went back to our hotel and slept it off to rejuvinate for next day's exploration.
The next day we started off early and walked about the Las Vegas boulevard looking around at all the casinos - some of them like MGM that we had seen in movies and others not so famous but spectacular nevertheless.
There was the statue of liberty looking as real as the one in Newyork and a mimic of the Newyork Skyline, with the Empire State Building towering high.
As we walked past the Monte carlo and Paris Paris, we were transported into exquisite Europe. There was the arc de triumph and the fointanes de la concorde. The Eiffel tower dominated the skyline, trying to touch the skies.
We were famished with all the walking and walked into Bellagio for the buffet. After the lunch it was time to catch the fabulous musical fountain in front of Bellagio. It had water dancing gracefully to a celine deon number. The water faithfully follwed her beautiful voice, it was as if the water had a life of its own. As a grand finale, the water burst out almost as high as the Bellagio itslef with a thunderous roar. It was abolsutely wondeful.
We once again walked back towards the European section passing the arc de triumph and all the famous fountains of Paris. Thats me and MV posing in front of the Arc de Triumph.
We finished our trip with Aladin, where Dantu went a bit berserk with the gambling beleiving that he had figured it all out and had to be held back against his will to be stopped from losing any more money.
We had now to get back to face our respective Mondays. It had been one of the most amazing of my trips so far. Las Vegas has turned out to be such a wonderful place and I wanted more. Surely enough we visited las vegas many more times after this and some it still feels theres more to see.
